BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University has selected Morgan Mercier as Coordinator of Athletic Operations effective June 26.

"I am very excited to welcome Morgan to the Moravian Athletic family," said Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk. "He rose to the top of a very deep pool of candidates. His enthusiasm and passion along with a strong work ethic were evident as we got to know him through the search process. As a former student athlete at Emmanuel College and his recent experience at Regis College, he will bring a strong insight to our administrative team, the coaches and student athletes."

Mercier comes to Moravian after two years as assistant of athletic administration and assistant women's soccer coach at Regis (Mass.) College. His duties at Moravian will include overseeing the office management of the athletic department while also serving on the administration team and assisting the department and coaching staff with internal operations such as game day management, travel, scheduling, budgeting, and special events.

"I am thrilled at the opportunity to join the Moravian University Athletic Department as the Coordinator of Athletic Operations," stated Mercier. "Thank you very much to Mary Beth Spirk, Rebecca May, Brynn McNamara, Josh Baltz and the rest of the hiring committee for this opportunity. I am very passionate about fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork within an athletic department. I am excited to contribute to Moravian University's rich athletic tradition and help shape a positive and impactful experience for the student athletes. I'm looking forward to getting started and becoming a member of the Greyhound family."

Mercier was a member of the men's soccer and men's lacrosse teams during his undergraduate days at Emmanuel, serving as a team captain in both sports as a senior. He earned GNAC Academic All-Conference six times, three years in each sport, and he was a finalist for the 2021 GNAC Men's Lacrosse Man of the Year award. Mercier also spent three years as a member of Emmanuel's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a national SAAC representative to the NCAA Division III SAAC in 2020-21.
