BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Shane Houghton from the Moravian University men's country squad has been honored as this week's Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for the second time this year for his performance last week.
Houghton won the 2022 Landmark Conference Men's Cross Country title while leading the Greyhounds to their second straight team championship. Houghton, who earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team and was named the Landmark Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year for his performance, completed the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:10.3 to lead the 81 runners including teammate Owen Nahf by just three tenths of a second to win the race.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
