DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman infielder Ian Csencsits has been honored as the ECAC Division III Metro Baseball Rookie of the Week for his performance last week.

Csencsits hit .467 during the Greyhounds 4-0 week last week. He was 7-of-15 at the plate with a triple, four runs, five RBIs and two walks for a .529 on-base percentage and a .600 slugging percentage. Csencsits added 18 putouts and four assists in 22 chances in the field during the week while seeing action at both first base and second base. Csencsits ended the week with a 5-for-5 game with five RBIs in a 15-2 win over Juniata.

"Ian has been playing well all year," stated Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "His hitting success shouldn't overshadow what he's doing defensively. All around it was a great week for Ian, and the team has certainly benefited from his performance last week."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 5 in a non-conference game at Keystone College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
