BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team played its final match at Betty Prince Field for the 2015 season Tuesday afternoon as the Greyhounds fell to Elizabethtown College, 7-0, in Landmark Conference action.
Junior goalie Megan Kanyuk made a career-high 22 saves for the Hounds, tied for the fourth most in a single match in Moravian's record books. Kanyuk now has 148 saves on the season which is the sixth-highest total in school history.
Senior midfielder Ely Vazquez added two defensive saves for Moravian, both in the second half of the contest. The Hounds best opportunity to score in the match came in the 42nd minute when Moravian had a penalty corner that results in shots on goal by senior midfielder Rebecca Hamel and freshman midfielder Jocelyn Vanic.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 17 when the squad hosts Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference match on the turf at Rocco Calvo Field beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Hounds will play their final two contests of the season at Rocco Calvo Field.
