Paige Kovacs '19, Shae Duka '19 and Paige Weiss '20 named 2018 women's soccer team captains.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer squad has selected seniors Shae Duka and Paige Kovacs and junior Paige Weiss as captains for the 2018 campaign.

"We are very fortunate to have three outstanding captains to lead our team this year," stated fifth-year Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "They have put everything they have into every aspect of our program and will serve as tremendous role models for our younger players. The players and staff have great respect for them and I look forward to watching them lead our program to another successful season."

Duka is in her third season with the Greyhounds as a midfielder and is a two-time selection to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team. She has one goal and one assist in 32 career contests.

Kovacs is a three-year starter for Moravian on defense, and she teamed with Weiss and the rest of the Hounds' defense to allow just six goals during the 2017 campaign. Weiss will be in the starting line-up for a third straight season and was the 2016 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year. She has scored four goals off of corner kicks in her career.

The Hounds are scheduled to begin the 2018 season on Friday, August 31 with a non-conference match at Cortland State (N.Y.) University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
