Women's Tennis Tops Saint Vincent at USTA National Campus

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team won its second straight match on its Spring Break trip with an 8-1 victory over Saint Vincent College Monday morning as the squads had the chance to play at the brand new, 100-court United States Tennis Association National Campus in Orlando.

The Greyhounds, who are now 3-2 on the season, led 2-1 after doubles action. The duo of senior Brittney Eady and junior Skylar Oliwa posted an 8-3 win at first doubles to start the match as Eady moved into a tie for seventh in school history with her 40th doubles win. Freshmen Eiman Nazif and Lauren Steinert made the lead 2-0 with an 8-5 victory at second doubles.

Moravian would go on to sweep the singles action with six straight sets victories with Eady off the courts first singles. Nazif was the next to finish at third singles, and Steinert followed her at fourth singles and junior Grace Bailly at sixth singles. Oliwa posted a win at second singles while sophomore Kate Rennar finished off the match with a victory at fifth singles.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, March 7 in a match versus NCAA Division II Minnesota State University Moorhead beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Orlando.
