Women's Tennis Falls in Hard-Fought Match at Elizabethtown in Landmark Conference Action

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 7-6 overall and 2-2 in Landmark Conference action, trailed 3-0 after doubles play after nearly holding a lead. Sophomore Kate Rennar and freshman Emily Snyder fell in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-4), at third doubles while senior Brittney Eady and junior Skylar Oliwa almost forced a tiebreaker at first doubles before falling 9-7.

Moravian would split the six singles matches with the Blue Jays. Eady won in straight sets at first singles for the Blue and Grey's first point of the match, and freshman Eiman Nazif captured a two-set victory at third singles. Junior Grace Bailly finished the match with a three-set win at sixth singles.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 22 when they host The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
