Eady Honored as Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for Third Time in 2016-17

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brittney Eady has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for the third time this season for her performance last week.

Eady helped the Greyhounds, who are 10-6 overall, to a pair of 5-4 Landmark Conference victories to clinch the third seed in the 2017 Landmark Conference Tournament after a 5-2 mark in the conference regular season. Eady was a perfect 2-0 in both first singles and first doubles last week. Her first singles win of the week in a win over The University of Scranton made Eady the ninth player in school history to reach 50 career singles victories, and her doubles win with junior Skylar Oliwa in the regular season ending victory over The Catholic University of America was Eady's 47th career win to move into a tie for second in the Moravian record books.

"It is impossible to say enough about Brittney; number one player, undefeated in conference and there for the team winning clutch matches in both singles and doubles," stated Head Coach Alan Heverly. "Brittney is a sterling example of how applying yourself and working on skill acquisition will make you the best you can be. She is deserving of all the accolades she receives and more."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action in the 2017 Landmark Conference Tournament on Wednesday, May 3 in a Semifinal match at second seed Elizabethtown College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
