TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brittney Eady has been selected as the 2017 Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Year as she made the All-Conference First Team in Singles and Doubles. Junior Skylar Oliwa joined Eady on the First Team in Doubles while freshman Eiman Nazif earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.

Eady, who is on the Landmark All-Conference First Team in singles for the fourth straight year, posted a 15-2 record including 7-0 in Landmark Conference action while playing first singles this season. Eady, who was the 2014 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and named to the Landmark Conference All-Decade Team this spring, finished her career with a 52-18 singles mark as she tied for eighth in school history in victories.

"When you look at simple numbers, it is certainly easy to understand why Brittney was chosen as Player of the Year," stated Director of Tennis Alan Heverly "Number 1 singles player undefeated seemingly says it all. But what is not as easy to see is the fact that she was our captain and lead the team by example. She worked on her game and continuously improved year to year. Brittney is the perfect example of achievement through hard work."

Eady and Oliwa recorded a 10-3 mark this season while playing first doubles for the Greyhounds. It is Eady's third All-Conference honor in doubles after making the First Team in 2016 and the Second Team in 2014, and it is the second First Team honor for Oliwa. Eady completed her career with a 47-24 mark in doubles action, tying for second in career wins.

"Brittney and Skyler improved significantly since last year," Heverly said. "They had some wins this year that were very important to the team and kept us in matches. They are very deserving of being named First Team All-Conference."

Nazif posted a 14-3 mark in singles in her debut season at Moravian with a 7-0 slate in the Landmark Conference regular season. She was 11-1 while playing third singles, and Nazif had a 10-7 mark at second doubles while competing with classmate Lauren Steinert.

"Eiman's only losses this year came to a very good Division II team in Florida and a Division I team last fall," noted Heverly. "This kind of performance from a freshman is not common, but Eiman is a very good tennis player."

Moravian finished its 2016-17 season with a 10-7 mark and reached the 2017 Landmark Conference Semifinals as the third seed before falling to eventual conference champion Elizabethtown College, 5-2.
