Eady Named Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brittney Eady has been name as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Eady, who earns her second Athlete of the Week honor of the Year after receiving the honor once back in September, helped the Greyhounds begin their Spring Break trip to Orlando with a 5-4 win over NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State University Sunday evening. Eady combined with junior Skylar Oliwa for an 8-6 win at first doubles, and Eady clinched the victory with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-0 triumph at first singles to finish off the match.

"Britt just continues to be a great role model for the women on the team because she's always in control of herself in her game and she knows how to win," stated Head Coach Alan Heverly. "I can't think of anyone who could be a better team captain."

Moravian, which is 4-1 on the year, is scheduled to continue its trip to Orlando on Tuesday, March 7 with a match versus NCAA Division II Minnesota State University Moorhead beginning at 11:30 a.m.
