Ratcliff Honored as Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior forward Marquis Ratcliff has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance the last seven days.

Ratcliff averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds in Landmark Conference action. He also shot 19-for-37 from the field, 3-of-10 on three-pointers and 13-of-15 at the foul line while contributing seven blocked shots, two assists and two steals in 60 minutes of action. Ratcliff had 16 points, 12 rebounds, five blocked shots and two steals in a 67-64 victory at Juniata College. He then tied his career high with 32 points to go with eight boards and two blocked shots in a 115-78 win over Lycoming College at The Palestra. In two games at this historic venue, Ratcliff has scored 63 points the last two seasons.

"I'm really proud of Marquis and his ability to bounce back from missing a few weeks," commented Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "He played really good "team basketball" and led us to two wins."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, January 15 when the Blue & Grey host The University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference contest tipping off at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
