WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's basketball team fell to host Wilkes University, 91-66, in Landmark Conference action Wednesday evening as the Greyhounds had their winning streak snapped at seven games, falling for the first time since December 14.

How It Happened

  • The Colonels netted the first four points of the game before junior guard Chad Kratzer connected on a three-pointer for the Hounds. Freshman forward Jametric Harris sank a jumper to put the Blue & Grey ahead, 5-4, and the Greyhounds were up 12-6 on a lay-up from junior forward Marquis Ratcliff at the 14:32 mark. Sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter connected on a free throw for a 16-12 edge; however, Wilkes scored twice to knot the score at 16-16 midway through the half
  • Sophomore guard George Cutler hit a lay-up to put the Hounds back on top, and Kratzer made it 21-16 with a three-pointer at 7:28. The Colonels ran off seven straight points for a 22-21 edge before the teams traded the lead over the next four minutes. Harris connected on a three-pointer to give the Blue & Grey a 32-31 advantage with 2:27 left in the half, but that would be Moravian's last bucket of the opening period as the Colonels tool a 39-32 lead into the locker room
  • Kelly began the second half with a lay-up to pull the Greyhounds within five points; however, that would be as close as the Blue & Grey would get as the Colonels pushed the lead into double digits for good with just under 14 minutes to play
