Greyhounds Fall to Scranton in Regular Season Finale

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's lacrosse team fell to visiting The University of Scranton, 13-6, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field to close out the 2025 regular season Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds opened the scoring three minutes into the contest as senior midfielder Aaron Judge found the net. Just 14 seconds later, senior short stick defensive midfielder Kyle Weiss scored after scooping up the ground ball on a face-off and racing down field. The Royals scored twice in a 12-second span late in the quarter to make it 2-2 after 15 minutes of action
  • Scranton continued the run into the second quarter with three more goals to take a 5-2 edge. Senior midfielder Nick Sullivan scored with 6:16 left in the period to make it 5-3 while the Royals scored less than a minute later. Sophomore attack Nick Coffaro netted a goal late in the third quarter to cut the score to 6-4 for Scranton at the intermission
  • The third quarter was all Royals as Scranton scored six times to stretch its advantage to 12-4 after 45 minutes of play
  • Scranton also netted the first goal of the fourth quarter while Judge scored twice in the period for the Blue & Grey
  • The loss put the Greyhounds at the fifth seed in the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament with Moravian heading to fourth seed The Catholic University of America for a First Round match on Tuesday, April 29

Inside the Numbers

  • Moravian had four players register points with Judge netting three goals
  • Coffaro, Sullivan and Weiss each scored once with Weiss adding four ground balls and Coffaro scooping up three ground balls
  • Senior defender Jason Levy and junior defender James Panico both had three ground balls while senior short stick defensive midfielder Aden Moskovitz and junior defender Mike Sickler each had a pair of ground balls
  • Senior Gannon Mesko was 8-for-18 on face-offs while freshman Owen Deady went 1-for-2 on face-offs
  • Sophomore goalie Liam Kelly posted 12 saves and two ground balls
  • The Hounds were 18-for-20 on clearing attempts in the match
