BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with visiting Ramapo College of New Jersey in non-conference action as the Greyhounds played their first home match of the 2022 season on John Makuvek Field Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute as junior defender Donald Gibbs dove and headed in a free kick taken by senior midfielder Carson Snyder as the ball made it inside the six-yard box
  • The Roadrunners countered in the 26th with the tying goal to knot the match at 1-1
  • Neither team was able to find the goal again, and under the new NCAA rules that only allow overtime in the postseason, the match ended in a tie after the regulation 90 minutes

Inside the Numbers

  • Gibbs' goal was the first of his Moravian career while Snyder recorded his third career assists
  • Moravian junior goalie Christian Beebe recorded 10 saves in his first career start
