HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer team won its third straight match and opened its 2022 Landmark Conference season with a 2-0 victory on the road at Juniata College Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The first half was scoreless until Greyhound sophomore midfielder Dan Ingersoll converted on a penalty kick in the 44th minute to send the Blue & Grey to the intermission with a 1-0 edge
  • Moravian needed just 2:47 into the second half to double the advantage to 2-0 when graduate student midfielder Alec Aloia found the goal off of a pass from sophomore midfielder Carson Snyder. That would be all of the scoring on the afternoon

Inside the Numbers

  • Aloia connected on a goal for the first time in 2022, and it is his 11th career goal while Snyder was credited with his second assist of the season and fourth of his career
  • Junior goalie Andrew Remias made six saves for his second consecutive shutout
  • Moravian has won three straight and not allowed a goal in the last 236 minutes
  • Juniata had a 10-9 edge in shots in the contest while both squads took four corner kicks
