Greyhounds and Royals Play to 1-1 Draw on Makuvek Field

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with visiting The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon. 

How It Happened

  • The squads played a scoreless first half
  • The Royals got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 56th minute
  • The Hounds answered just 36 seconds later when senior midfielder Carson Snyder tapped in a one-touch centering pass from sophomore forward Ben Scary into an open net. Scary had one-touched a crossing pass from sophomore midfielder Hunter Shay to start the play
  • Neither squad was able to find the go-ahead goal in the remainder of the contest 

Inside the Numbers

  • The goal was Snyder's third of the season and the fifth of his career while Scary recorded his first assist of 2022 and of his career and Shay earned his second assist of the year
  • Junior goalie Andrew Remias had five saves for Moravian
  • Scranton had a 15-10 advantage in shots while both teams took one corner kick
