Men's Tennis Tops Mount Saint Mary, 6-3

KISSIMMEE, Fla. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team earned its first win of the season, defeating Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) College, 6-3, on Spring Break Monday.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after the doubles action with an 8-2 victory by sophomore Lewis Cooper and freshman Libario Obeid at second doubles.

Moravian captured five of the six singles matches to earn the win. Freshman Matt Tuorto won in three sets at first singles while freshman John Wylie earned a straight sets victory at second singles. Obeid earned a three-set win at third singles for the Greyhounds while Cooper was a straight sets winner at fourth singles. Freshman C.J. Widdifield earned a three-set victory at sixth singles.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 5th in a non-conference match versus NCAA Division II Grand Valley State University in Orlando.
