Men's Tennis Tops Catholic, 6-3

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team evened its season record at 4-4 and improved to 2-0 in Landmark Conference action with a 6-3 win over The Catholic University of America at Hoffman Courts Saturday.

The Greyhounds had a 2-1 lead after the doubles action. Freshman Matt Tuorto and John Wylie had an 8-3 win at first doubles while sophomore Lewis Cooper and freshman Libario Obeid posted an 8-5 victory at second doubles.

Moravian then won four of the six singles match to clinch the match. Wylie had a three-set victory at second singles for the Greyhounds while Obeid and Cooper won in straight sets at third and fourth singles. Freshman C.J. Widdifield also had a straight sets win for Moravian at sixth singles.

The Greyhounds are set to return to action on Sunday, March 24th in a non-conference match versus Wilkes University starting at 10:30 a.m. at Hoffman Courts.
