Greyhounds Sweep Gwynedd-Mercy, 9-0

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 non-conference victory at Gwynedd-Mercy College Wednesday as the Greyhounds won their second straight match.

Moravian swept the doubles action to build a 3-0 lead. Freshmen Matt Tuorto and John Wylie won at first doubles while sophomore Lewis Cooper and freshman Libario Obeid earned a victory at second doubles. Senior Brad Kutcha and freshman C.J. Widdifield posted a win at third doubles.

All six Greyhounds had straight sets victories in singles action with Tuorto winning at first singles, Wylie at second singles, Obeid at third singles, Cooper at fourth singles, Kutcha at fifth singles and Widdifield at sixth singles.

Moravian will return to action on Saturday, March 23rd when the squad hosts The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference match at Hoffman Courts beginning at 1:00 p.m., the Greyhounds' first home match of the season.
