BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's cross country team finished 34th of 45 teams in the College Men's 8K Brown Race of the Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Friday.

How It Happened

• The Greyhounds finished with 883 points while Carnegie Mellon University won the Brown Race with 114 points
• Fifth-year senior Shane Houghton led the Hounds with a personal-best time of 25:24.8, the 12th fastest in school history on the 8,000-meter course to finish 111th of 403 runners in the race. Sophomore Owen Nahf finished in 122nd with a PR time of 25:31.5, the 15th best in program history, while sophomore Nathan Hajel took 213th with a PR time of 26:04.6. Rounding out the top five for the Blue & Grey were sophomore Josh Mangini in 227th place in a PR time of 26:09.7 and freshman Bryan Kerchner finishing in 271st at a PR time of 26:33.8
• The Greyhounds had five other runners in the Brown Race with senior Liam Duffy running a PR time of 26:40.7, sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg posting a PR time of 26:57.2, sophomore Jake Farrell recording a time of 27:02.4, junior Brendon Ward running a PR time of 27:33.3 and freshman Joe Allegro posting a PR time of 28:39.8
• Moravian had seven runners compete in the Men's Open 8K Friday morning. Freshman William Cooper ran a PR time of 28:22.7 while senior Christian Jancsarics recorded a PR time of 28:57.7 and freshman Jackson Gaffney posted a PR time of 29:41.6. Rounding out the group was senior Elias Aviles running a PR time of 29:52.8, freshman John Breslin posting a PR time of 30:13.4, junior Paul Petre finishing in a PR time of 30:35.7 and sophomore Wyatt Poniktera running a PR time of 30:55.8
