LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian University softball team moved up one spot to 16th in the nation in the seventh 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association/GoRout Division III Top 25 Poll of the regular season released Tuesday.
The Greyhounds, who are 22-4 overall, began the 2025 campaign with a 7-1 mark at The Spring Games in Florida, and the week included a 16-2, six-inning win over then-No. 9 Trine (Ind.) University and 6-5, eight-inning victory over Saint Mary's (Minn.) University that was receiving votes last week. Trine is No. 7 this week while Saint Mary's has moved up to 17th.
On March 15, the Blue & Grey fell to then No. 6 Virginia Wesleyan University, 5-0, and then No. 7 Christopher Newport (Va.) University, 8-5, in the Cross Bay Bash. Christopher Newport had moved up to No. 2 and is now No. 3 this week while Virginia Wesleyan is now No. 5.
In the latest NCAA Division III National Power Index (NPI), the Greyhounds are ranked 14th after being 18th a week ago.
Moravian is slated to return to action on Tuesday, April 15 as the team hosts Misericordia University in a non-conference doubleheader with first pitch at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
