Women's Lacrosse to Begin 2016 Season on February 27

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse team looks to take to the field for the programs return as a varsity team for the first time since 2010. Under new Head Coach Kristen Schuster, the Hounds look to play half of their games the season at home. All of Moravian's home games will be played at Rocco Calvo Field except one.

The Greyhounds will start the season playing Hood College on Saturday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. The team will head out on a two-game road trip following the home opener on March 2 and 12 at King's (Pa.) College and Wilkes University. The team will return home for a short home stint with games versus SUNY Purchase on Thursday, March 17 at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. against The University of Scranton. Following the contest with Scranton, the Blue and Grey will head back out for a three-match road trip.

The Greyhounds will return home in Saturday, April 2 versus Eastern University at 1:00 p.m. Then on Friday, April 8 the Hounds will face off against SUNY Old Westbury at 4:00 p.m. This game will be the only game of the season that will be played on the HUB Quad.

Moravian will finish off the season with a three-game home stand. The first contest will be against Drew University on Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. Next will be a game versus Neumann University on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. and to close out the season the Blue and Grey will face Elizabethtown College on Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m.

The team is making its return to varsity status as independent this spring before joining the Landmark Conference in 2017.
