DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshmen midfielder/attack Jillian Picciuto and midfielder Eileen Rolwood have been honored as the ECAC Division III South Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week and Rookie of the Week for their performances last week.

The duo helped Moravian to a 2-0 record last week as the Greyhounds have won four straight games to improve to 5-4 on the year in the program's first varsity season since 2010.

Picciuto, who was named the ECAC Division III South Offensive Player of the Week for a second consecutive week, led the Greyhounds with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists, nine draw controls, three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls for the week. Picciuto had five goals, four assists, four draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers in Moravian's 21-8 win at Lancaster Bible College. She then added seven goals, three assists, five draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover in a 24-13 victory over Eastern University. Her 10 points in the match are the second most in a contest in school history, and Picciuto has 22 assists on the season, new school record for a year and just six shy of the school's career record.

"Jillian has been a key player for us on attack all season," stated Head Coach Kristen Schuster. "With last week's performance, it's clear she's beginning to feel confident in her role as both a feeder and a finisher."

Rolwood contributed 12 points on seven goals and five assists, 17 draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers during the week. Rolwood netted nine points on six goals and three assists at Lancaster Bible to go with seven draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover. She then had a goal and two assists versus Eastern as she tied the school record with 10 draw controls, and Rolwood added three ground balls and three caused turnovers in the win.

"Eileen is a threat on both sides of the field," noted Schuster. "Defensively causing turnovers and putting up substantial points on the attacking end, she's definitely a presence on the field. She's also proving herself as strong force on the draw circle with an outstanding 10 draw controls in a single game."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 6 in a non-conference match at Susquehanna University beginning at 4:00 p.m.
