Long Named Director of Athletic Performance/Fitness Center Director

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College has named Thomas Long as its new Director of Athletic Performance/Fitness Center Director.

"Moravian is uniquely positioned to help all of its student-athletes reach their full potential," commented Director of Athletics and Recreation George L. Bright. "We are invested in providing a championship high-level academic and athletic experience.  I am pleased to announce Thomas Long as our Director of Athletic Performance/ Fitness Center Director. Coach Long is a high caliber leader in the strength and conditioning arena and is driven to bring innovative concepts to our talented student-athletes and our fitness community."

Long comes to Moravian from Villanova University where he worked in strength and conditioning for the football team as well as Olympic sports teams. Long walked on to the Temple University football team in 2012 where he played inside linebacker. Long graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science in exercise sport and science.

"I'm thrilled to start working with the student-athletes and coaches here at Moravian College," Long said. "This is my passion and I am here to help achieve total success in all of our sports teams here at Moravian."

Long holds certification as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
