McPherson Earns Fourth Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Honor

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior forward Camille McPherson has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season after her performance last week.

McPherson averaged 24.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds. She shot 16-of-29 from the floor (55.2 percent), 5-of-11 on three-pointers and 11-of-15 from the free throw line to go with five assists, two steals and a blocked shot while playing 76 of 80 minutes.

McPherson had 23 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the winter in an 87-83 victory over No. 14 The University of Scranton, and McPherson added three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in the game. She then picked up another double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds to go with two assists and a steal in a 66-61 victory at Elizabethtown College as Moravian remained in second place in the Landmark Conference standings.

"Camille had another great week as we competed on the road against two very tough teams all fighting for playoff position," commented Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "In both games, Camille made plays on both ends of the court in crucial situations to secure wins. Her ability to score with two and even three defenders on her is a testament to her hard work and dedication. And as a guard playing the post position, Camille's rebounding numbers are a direct reflection on her desire to do whatever it takes to make our team successful."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, February 8 when the squad hosts Goucher College in a Landmark Conference game tipping off at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
