BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team fell to visiting Stevens Institute of Technology, 6-1, in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.
How It Happened
- The Ducks scored twice in the just over a minute span during the first quarter to build a 2-0 edge
- Neither squad found the cage in the second period as Stevens still lead 2-0 at halftime
- The Ducks put three goals in the net during the third quarter
- Moravian got on the scoreboard nearly two minutes into the fourth quarter as senior forward Sydney Anderson tipped in a long pass from senior defender Lexi Dinsmore on a penalty corner
- Stevens added one more goal to finish off the scoring
Inside the Numbers
- Anderson's goal was her first of the season and 33rd of her career while Dinsmore contributed her first career assist
- Sophomore goalie Maia Machado recorded seven saves in the contest
