BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team dropped a 4-1 decision to visiting Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The squads played a scoreless first quarter
  • Susquehanna opened the scoring in the 21st minute with an unassisted goal
  • Moravian countered two and a half minutes later when senior defender Lexi Dinsmore blasted in a shot from near the top of the circle on a penalty corner
  • The Rivers Hawks scored again with just under four minutes remaining in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission
  • Susquehanna netted the matches' only goal in the third quarter on a penalty stoke
  • The River Hawks finished off the scoring with a tally in the fourth quarter
