BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team fell to visiting Misericordia University, 3-2, in the Greyhounds' final non-conference match Wednesday evening on John Makuvek Field.
How It Happened
- The Cougars opened the scoring in the fourth minute with an unassisted goal
- The Hounds evened the contest in the 13th minute when junior forward Gia Ambrosino tipped in a long shot by senior defender Lexi Dinsmore on a penalty corner
- Misericordia scored twice in the second quarter to lead 3-1 at the intermission
- Neither squad found the cage in the third period
- Moravian finished off the scoring in the 51st minute when senior forward Sydney Anderson knocked in a long pass from junior midfielder Megan Felmly on another penalty corner
Inside the Numbers
- Ambrosino netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season and 13th of her career while Anderson posted her third goal of the year and 35th of her career to move into sole possession of second place in the program's record book
- Dinsmore recorded her second assist of 2024 and career while Felmly earned her third assist of the season and career
- Sophomore goalie Maia Machado registered two saves in the contest
