How It Happened

  • The squads played a scoreless first half
  • Juniata got onto the scoreboard in the 33nd minute on a shot inside the left post

Juniata made its second attempt while Moravian senior Sydney Anderson appeared to be stopped, but the officials called a foul and Ambrosino stepped to the stroke line to score and even the shootout at 1-1. Both teams missed again in the third round while a goal from senior defender Lexi Dinsmore had Moravian leading 2-1 after four rounds. The Eagles scored in the fifth round to even the shootout again before sophomore midfielder Maddie Snyder found the cage to end the shootout and send Moravian to the Landmark Conference Semifinals
