BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Penn State Harrisburg under the lights on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.

How It Happened

  • After a scoreless first quarter, the Lions scored in the 20th minute to take a 1-0 lead
  • Penn State Harrisburg scored twice during the third quarter to push the advantage to 3-0 after 45 minutes of action
  • The Greyhounds got onto the scoreboard two and a half minutes into the fourth period as freshman forward/midfielder Samantha Culver tipped in a long crossing pass from senior forward Marianna Crissafulli near the left post.

Inside the Numbers

  • Culver's goal was her second of the season while Crisafulli notched her second assist of 2024 and third of her career
  • Sophomore goalie Maia Machado recorded one save
  • Junior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez added a defensive save, her second of the season
