BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey teams is slated to begin the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31 with a non-conference match versus DeSales University beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
The Greyhounds will be home again on Wednesday, September 4 for a non-conference match versus Stevens Institute of Technology, the first of nine matches under the lights during the fall. The Blue & Grey head on the road for the first time on Saturday, September 7 for a non-conference contest at rival Muhlenberg College before hosting William Paterson University on Wednesday, September 11. The Hounds travel to Delaware University on Saturday, September 14 and host Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, September 18.
Moravian begins the 2024 Landmark Conference season and a three-match road trip on Saturday, September 21 at The University of Scranton. The Greyhounds finish off September with trips to Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday, September 25 in non-conference play and The Catholic University of America for a Landmark Conference match on Saturday, September 28.
The month of October will see the Hounds play eight contests with five matches at Makuvek Field. The month begins with home contests versus Misericordia University on Wednesday, October 2 in the final non-conference match of the year. The Blue & Grey will welcome Wilkes University on Saturday, October 5 in a Landmark Conference contest before traveling to Lycoming College on Saturday, October 12 in another conference match. Moravian is set to host Drew University on Tuesday, October 15 and Susquehanna University on Saturday, October 19 before a short trip to Elizabethtown College on Tuesday, October 22. The Hounds finish off the regular season by hosting Juniata College on Saturday, October 26 then a trip to Goucher College on Tuesday, October 29.
The Greyhounds, who have played in the postseason in each of the last three seasons, aim to qualify for the 2024 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the first-round match between the fourth and fifth seeds slated for Saturday, November 2. The semifinals are set for Wednesday, November 6 at the top two seasons and the finals are slated for Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seeds' home field.
