BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's basketball team fell to visiting Elizabethtown College, 76-46, in Landmark Conference action Friday in Johnston Hall.

How It Happened

  • The Blue Jays netted the first ten points of the contest before freshman center Grace Steffen drained a three-pointer to put the Greyhounds on the scoreboard. Elizabethtown led 21-7 after ten minutes of action
  • The Blue Jays maintained the lead throughout the second quarter to head to the locker room with a 37-17 advantage
  • Elizabethtown kept the edge for the entire second half

Inside the Numbers

  • Sophomore guard Jayda Cartagena led Moravian with 13 points to tie her career high, and she also had two rebounds and two assists
  • Steffen finished with nine points and a pair of boards while sophomore guard Juliana Vassallo added six points
  • Freshman guard Emma Altmire tossed in four points while senior forward Sam Osorio scored three points to go with a team-high 10 rebounds as Osorio moved into a tie for 15th in program history with 573 career rebounds
  • Freshman guard/forward Lizzie Lustig also scored three points to go with three assists and two steals while junior forward Brielle Guarente added two points, two boards and a pair of steals
  • Junior guard Mikayla Anderson, freshman guard Yarian Fernandez and freshman guard N'dera Francis all netted two points with Francis scoring the first points of her collegiate career
  • The Greyhounds shot 15-for-52 from the floor, 7-for-13 beyond the three-point line and 9-for-14 at the foul line
