WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian University women's basketball team dropped an 83-52 Landmark Conference decision at No. 8 The Catholic University of America Saturday.

How It Happened

• The Greyhounds scored the opening basket as senior forward Sam Osorio sank a lay-up, and the Hounds had three other two-point edges, the final one at 8-6 on a jumper from junior forward Brielle Guarente at the 6:24 mark. The Cardinals went on a 19-2 run, and Catholic led 27-15 after ten minutes of action
• The Cardinals stretched their lead to as many as 20 points before heading to the locker room with a 45-28 halftime lead
• Catholic would also hold the edge for the entire second half 

Inside the Numbers

• Osorio led Moravian with 16 points to go with eight rebounds as she moved past Karlie Brogan '20 for 14th all-time with 621 career boards
• Sophomore guard Juliana Vassallo added nine points on a trio of three-pointers to go with three rebounds while Guarente had eight points and two rebounds
• Freshman center Grace Steffen recorded five points, nine boards and three steals while freshman guard/forward Lizzie Lustig and freshman forward Bellisima Lew both had four points with Lew dishing out three rebounds and Lustig adding a pair of rebounds
• Freshman guard Emma Altmire netted three points to go with four rebounds while senior guard Reganne Flannery registered two points, a pair of rebounds and four assists. Sophomore guard Jayda Cartagena had a point
• The Greyhounds shot 19-for-63 from the field, 5-for-20 beyond the three-point line and 9-for-12 foul line
