ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's basketball team dropped an 84-46 decision at Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Saturday.

How It Happened

  • The Blue Jays netted the first 10 points of the game before back-to-back jumpers from junior forward Brielle Guarente got the Hounds on the board. However, Elizabethtown led 24-10 after the opening ten minutes of action
  • In the second quarter, Moravian closed within 13 points, 28-15, on a lay-up from senior forward Sam Osorio. The Blue Jays led 43-23 at the intermission
  • Elizabethtown continued to lead throughout the second half

Inside the Numbers

  • Guarente led Moravian with 14 points to go with three assists and three steals while Osorio added six rebounds and four points as she moved into 13th in program history with 632 career rebounds
  • Sophomore guard Jayda Cartagena tossed in eight points to go with three assists while freshman center Grace Steffen and sophomore guard Juliana Vassallo both scored six points to go with three boards, and Steffen also blocked a pair of shots
  • Junior guard Mikayla Anderson had two points and two rebounds while freshman forward Bellisima Lew registered three rebounds and two points
  • Freshman guard Emma Altmire had two points, two assists and a pair of steals while freshman guard Yarian Fernandez netted two points
  • The Greyhounds connected on 21-of-55 field goal attempts, 2-of-10 three-pointers and 2-of-8 free throws
