Greyhounds Play to 1-1 Draw With Lebanon Valley in Final Non-Conference Match of 2021

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad played to a 1-1, double-overtime draw with visiting and regionally-ranked Lebanon Valley College Wednesday evening on John Makuvek Field in the Greyhounds final non-conference contest of the 2021 season.

How It Happened

  • The Flying Dutchmen needed just 53 seconds to take a 1-0 lead in the contest
  • The Hounds answered in the 12th minute when freshman defender Kylie Hughes netted an unassisted goal
  • Neither team was able to find the net over the next 98 minutes as the teams ended the 110 minutes of action knotted at 1-1

Inside the Numbers

  • Moravian had a 10-9 edge in shots in the contest while Lebanon Valley had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks
  • Hughes' goal was the first of her collegiate career
  • The Greyhounds played all three goalies in the match with sophomore Payce Korpics making the start and recorded two saves in 31 minutes of action. Freshman Abigail Brunell came in for the next 27 minutes with one save while sophomore Paige Harrison played the final 52 minutes and recorded a pair of saves
