Hounds Play to Scoreless Draw with Drew to Clinch Fourth Seed in Landmark Conference Tournament

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team played to a scoreless, double-overtime draw with visiting Drew University in Landmark Conference action Saturday on John Makuvek Field as the Greyhounds clinched the fourth seed in the 2021 Landmark Conference Tournament.

How It Happened

  • Moravian had a 5-1 edge in shots in the opening half, and the Greyhounds put three on goal but could not get one over the goal line. The Hounds also had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks in the opening half
  • The Blue and Grey also had a 5-4 edge in shots in the second half, and then 9-1 in the 20 minutes of overtime but could still not get on the scoreboard
  • The playoff berth is the first for the Greyhounds since 2018

Inside the Numbers

  • Moravian finished the contest with a 19-6 advantage in shots and an 11-3 edge in corner kicks
  • The Greyhounds had sophomore Payce Korpics made the start and she did not face a shot in the first half. Sophomore Paige Harrison played the final 65 minutes and recorded four saves as Moravian posted its eighth shutout of the season in 14 matches
