ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad posted five All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks and won three events at the Ithaca (N.Y.) College Bomber Invitational Saturday.
Moravian Event Winners
- Senior Abby Giamoni won the 400-meter dash in an AARTFC qualifying time of 59.05 seconds
- Giamoni also captured first in the 200-meter dash with an AARTF qualifying time of 26:08 seconds
- Junior Tara Smurla finished first in the 3,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying and PR time of 10:18.34
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Giamoni took fourth in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash with an AARTFC qualifying time of 8.05 seconds before sitting out the finals
- Junior Ali Haefele finished fourth in the triple jump with an AARTFC qualifying distance of 11.15 meters (36-7) on her first attempt of the meet
- Sophomore Rachele Grigoli placed fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.20
- Junior Karalyn Vashey finished seventh in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 15.43 meters (50-7.5) on her first attempt of the finals
- Sophomore Kayla O'Neil took ninth in the 3,000-meter run at 10:56.13
- Haefele also finished tenth in the high jump at 1.58 meters (5-2.25)
