ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field team is tied for 23rd of 29 teams scoring points on the first day of action Friday at the 2025 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships being hosted by Ithaca College.
How it Happened
- The Greyhounds have three points through seven scored events
- SUNY Geneseo sits in first with 57 points on the first day of competition
Moravian Finishers
- Senior Tara Smurla placed sixth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 17:59.90 to earn three points
- Junior Margie Rayne finished 13th in the shot put with a toss of 11.69 meters (38-4.25) on her final attempt in the flights
- Freshman Emma Shafnisky took 16th in the long jump with a leap of 4.94 meters (16-2.5)
Preliminary Events
- Shafnisky placed 14th in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles in 9.27 seconds
