Tennis Teams Host Donegan Elementary Students for Clinic

Tennis Clinic at Hoffman Courts

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College tennis teams hosted 31 students from Donegan Elementary School on Wednesday, May 14 for an after school tennis clinc at Hoffman Courts.

The students have been learning the fundamentals from Neil Curtis in the gym at Donegan. Wednesday was the first time the furture tennis stars were on a real tennis court.

The program was coordinated through Moravian Head Men's Tennis Coach Art Smith and his assistant coach Bill Neal, who both also helped with the instruction.

"I thought all of the kids did a great job in their first time on a tennis court," Smith said.

The Donegan students also received instruction and played with current Greyhounds - junior Lewis Cooper from the men's team and sophomore Courtnie Lambert and freshman Noel Ferraro from the women's squad. Former Moravian men's tennis Head Coach Jim Walker and retiring women's tennis Head Coach Dawn Ketterman-Benner both helped with the clinic as well.
