Greyhounds Sweep Eastern in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 sweep of Eastern University in non-conference action Monday in Orlando during the Hounds' Spring Break trip.

The Greyhounds, 3-2 on the season, earned all three doubles points. Sophomores Matt Tuorto and John Wylie won at first doubles while sophomore Lewis Cooper and freshman Mike Antonis were triumphant at second doubles. Sophomore C.J. Widdifield and freshman Giovanni Lombardi earned a victory at third doubles.

Moravian captured five of the six singles matches in straight sets with wins by Tuorto at first singles, Wylie in second singles, Cooper at third singles, Lombardi in fourth singles and Antonis at fifth singles. Freshman Dan Schmucker posted a three-set win at sixth singles.

The Greyhounds will continue their trip to Orlando on Tuesday, March 4 when the squad plays Clark (Mass.) University at 12:30 p.m.
