Men's Tennis Falls to Ursinus in Non-Conference Action

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 non-conference match at Ursinus College Thursday afternoon.

The Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead in doubles action. Moravian's third doubles tandem of sophomore C.J. Widdifield and freshman Giovanni Lombardi were close for most of their match before falling 8-4.

In singles action for the Greyhounds, freshman Mike Antonis picked up a victory at fourth singles when his opponent retired due to an injury with the first set tied at 6-6. Sophomore John Wylie had another close match for Moravian at second singles before dropping straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

The Hounds were put their undefeated Landmark Conference record on the line on Sunday, March 30 when the team heads to Juniata College for a 1:00 p.m. match. The contest was originally scheduled for Saturday but has been switched to Sunday with rain in the weekend weather forecast.
