Men's Tennis Falls in a Hard-Fought Match to Monmouth (Ill.)

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team fell in a hard-fought match, 5-4, to Monmouth (Ill.) College on Monday morning at the Liberty High School Tennis Courts in Orlando, Florida.

Senior Lewis Cooper paired with sophomore Giovanni Lombardi at second doubles notched the only win in doubles action for the Greyhounds, 8-5. Cooper also earned a win at  third singles by a score of 6-2, 7-5. Junior Matt Tuorto won in first singles with scores of 6-4 and 6-3 while sophomore Dan Schmucker rallied back and hung on for the win in three sets 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (11-9).

The Greyhounds return to action on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. against non-conference Berry (Ga.) College at Sanlando Courts in Orlando, Florida.
