Nine Greyhounds Compete at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team had nine student-athletes compete at the prestigious Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field Thursday.

Senior Mary Kate Duncan placed ninth in the College Women's Javelin Championship flight with a toss of 45.12 meters (148-0) on her second attempt of the meet. Duncan finished ahead of two NCAA Division I and one NCAA Division II student-athlete and was the only NCAA Division III student-athlete in the flight.

The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay squad of juniors Amari Schooler and Jordan Luciano and freshmen Aimee Badman and Camaryn Wheeler ran a time of 50.43 seconds. Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of junior Anna Osman, sophomores Carly Danoski and Meghan Lazarchak and freshman Morgan Weaver finished ninth in the Centennial/MAC heat with a time of 4:08.59.

The women's hammer throwers will participate in the opening day of action at the Lehigh University Games.
