TOWSON, Md. --- Sophomore pitcher Chris Lansberry of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Lansberry helped Moravian post a 2-2 record last week including a 2-1 mark in the three-game Landmark Conference series at The Catholic University of America to begin the 2013 conference season. Lansberry began the week with a scoreless inning of relief in the Greyhounds, 6-5, ten-inning loss at Muhlenberg College.

Lansberry, the reigning Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, then got Moravian off to its fourth straight Landmark Conference season opening win, earning the victory for a 5-3 triumph at Catholic. He allowed three runs, just one earned, over seven innings with seven hits and a walk while striking out four batters. Lansberry is 2-0 on the year with a 0.73 ERA, eight strikeouts and just three walks in 12 1/3 innings over three appearances.

Moravian, now 8-6 on the year and 2-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 19th when the squad hosts The College of New Jersey in a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Gillespie Field, the Greyhounds first home game of the 2013 season.
