Four Baseball Players Ranked in Latest NCAA DIII Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Four student-athletes from the Moravian College baseball team are ranked nationally in the fifth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in two statistical categories as well.

Sophomore third baseman Ryan Luke leads the team by being ranked in four statistical categories. Luke is tied for sixth in the nation with five sacrifice flies, and he is tied for 51st with three triples, tied for 44th in RBIs per game with 1.23 per contest and tied for 51st in RBIs with 27.

Sophomore outfielder Matt Hanson is tied for 67th in doubles with ten, and he is tied for51st in triples with three as is junior outfielder Joseph Connell.

Freshman pitcher Anthony Zaloga is 96th in the country in WHIP at 0.99 with just eight walks and 30 hits allowed in 38 1/3 innings.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for 15th in triples with 12 and 33rd in triples per game at 0.48 per contest.

Moravian, which is 14-12 on the season and 6-6 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to travel to Penn State-Berks for a non-conference game on Wednesday, April 10th beginning at 3:30 p.m.
