Connell, Hanson & Luke Ranked in NCAA DIII Baseball Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Three student-athletes from the Moravian College baseball team are ranked nationally in the eighth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in three statistical categories as well.

Sophomore third baseman Ryan Luke leads the team by being ranked in three statistical categories. Luke is tied for 30th in the nation with five sacrifice flies, and he is tied for 68th in RBIs per game with 1.03 per contest and tied for 86th in RBIs with 35.

Sophomore outfielder Matt Hanson is tied for 23rd with five triples and tied for 39th in triples per game at 0.15 while junior outfielder Joseph Connell is tied for 53rd with four triples, and he is tied for 92nd in triples per game at 0.11

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for 12th in triples with 17, 24th in triples per game at 0.46 per contest and tied for 34th in sacrifice bunts with 35.

Moravian, which is 21-17 on the season and 10-8 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action on Saturday, May 4th in the opening round of the 2013 Landmark Conference Tournament being hosted by top seed The Catholic University of America. The third seeded Greyhounds will play second seed The United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the second game of the tournament.
