Soltys Honored as Landmark Pitcher of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Junior pitcher Chris Soltys of the Moravian College baseball team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Soltys was 1-1 on the mound in three appearances as the Greyhounds went 33- during the week and clinched their fifth straight postseason appearance by winning two of three games at Drew University this past weekend. Soltys allowed just an unearned run for a 0.00 ERA for the week, and he also gave up seven hits and a walk while striking out three batters in 8 1/3 innings of action.

Moravian is 20-17 overall, the fifth straight 20-win season for the program, and 10-8 in Landmark Conference action. The Greyhounds are scheduled to close out their 2013 regular season on Tuesday, April 30th with a non-conference game versus DeSales University at Gillespie Field starting at 4:00 p.m.
