Solano Honored as Landmark Baseball Pitcher of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Junior Robert Solano of the Moravian College baseball team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Solano tossed seven scoreless innings in Moravian's 11-1 victory over Juniata College in the final game of a Landmark Conference series at Gillespie Field Sunday afternoon. Solano improved to 2-1 on the mound this season, and he allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters in the win.

Solano was also named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week back on February 25th after his first start of the season.

Moravian, which is 11-7 overall and 4-2 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 26th when the team travels to Misericordia University for a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 p.m.
