BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior quarterback Jared Jenkins, junior running back Isiah Rico and sophomore offensive lineman Mason Ludlow have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that has played in 90 percent of the team's contest or started 66 percent of the team's games in 2024. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, January 28.
The trio helped the Greyhounds to a 7-4 mark this year including a 4-2 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season and a 35-14 victory over Shenandoah (Va.) University in the Cape Charles Bowl of the 2024 Chesapeake Challenge Bowl Series.
Jenkins, a finance major with a 3.75 GPA, started all 11 games for the Hounds this fall. He set six school records for Moravian this season including completions with 265, attempts with 387, yards with 2,892, touchdowns with 33, pass efficiency rating at 155.8 and total offense with 3,115 yards. Jenkins, who was selected to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2024 after being on the First Team in 2023, became the fourth Greyhound to surpass 6,000 career passing yards, and he is second all-time with 6,221 passing yards. Jenkins threw a pair of two-point conversions and ran for another one to go with one rushing touchdown as he ran for 222 yards on 99 carries. Jenkins, who has one year of eligibility remaining, is 550-for-841 in his career for 6,221 yards with 64 touchdowns, 24 interceptions and a 146.9 quarterback rating to go with 366 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 223 attempts in just 24 career games. He will be a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, and he was on the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2022. Jenkins is also a member of Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.
Rico, a finance major with a 3.50 grade-point average, saw action in ten games in 2024 with 161 yards and a touchdown on 50 rushing attempts, and he caught 17 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. Rico will be a member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll this fall, and he was selected as a team captain in his first year with the program.
Ludlow, a biochemistry major with a 5.54 grade-point average, started all 11 games at center for the Hounds' offensive line. Ludlow helped Moravian's offensive average 27.8 points and 391.5 yards of offense per game in 2024. He will be a member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
