TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior defensive lineman Jeremy McGuigan has been selected as the Landmark Conference Football Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
McGuigan helped the Greyhounds to a 34-23 win over Lycoming College as the Greyhounds clinched a berth in the 2024 Chesapeake Challenge Bowl Series, the program's first berth in the postseason since 2015. McGuigan had four tackles with two and a half sacks, two and a half tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and a pass break-up in the victory.
"Jeremy played extremely hard and found a way to make some big plays in key moments Saturday," stated Head Coach Jeff Long. "He works tirelessly to make sure he's in great physical condition and ready to make a play. I cannot wait to see him get back to work!"
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, November 16 when the squad heads to Wilkes University to close out the 2024 regular season with a Landmark Conference contest kicking off at 12:00 p.m. in Edwardsville.
